Investor Reporting Analyst

Position Purpose:

Responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly investor reports and remittances along with related cash movements and accounting entries in accordance with agreements.

Position Description:

• Calculate, analyze and transmit investor payment information using various data sources and create monthly reporting packages in accordance with deal specific servicing, remittance and reporting guidelines
• Research and resolve data issues, propose solutions for future system enhancements.
• Facilitate remittance related GL journal entries
• Reconcile custodial accounts and resolve GL and bank related reconciliation items
• Ensure that remittance wires are completed accurately and within required timelines
• Maintain knowledge of various servicing agreements and reporting requirements
• Participate in daily ACH process for cash movement to custodial accounts
• Act as business liaison with Information Technology to provide subject matter expertise on projects relating to enhancements to internal reporting system
• Maintain and enhance procedures and controls within the monthly process
• Assist with audits (SSAE 16, USAP, REG AB)
• Maintain knowledge of servicing practices and systems
• Interact and communicate with parties inside and outside the Company regarding inquiries, requests for information
• Reconciling
• Develop and enhance reporting capabilities through efficiencies and added controls
• Typical work week can be greater than 40 hours at month-end or with special projects 

Special Skills & Qualifications:

• College degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Access)
• Advanced Excel knowledge including pivot tables, vlookups, macros and advanced formulas
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities as appropriate in order to meet reporting deadlines and maintain reporting accuracy
• Superior quantitative analysis abilities with strong attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interface with external clients and internal business partners
• Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively in a variety of situations
